Description: This sparrow-sized rail is so secretive and nocturnal that it is one of the most difficult species in North America to see, let alone to photograph. After years of unsuccessful attempts, fellow photographer Bob Gress and I collaborated to capture several images of this bird one dark spring night. See the whole story and more images here.
